Composition Program
Application Deadline: February 1, 2010
The program is taught by David Ludwig and Robert Cuckson for students in composition.
This four-week program provides an opportunity for students to connect with professional composers and compose their own composition for performance. Participants will meet in seminars and master classes and in individual lessons.
Program highlights include:
- A performance with the AMF contemporary ensemble at end of the four-week session. Students will receive recordings of their compositions at the final concert and have an opportunity for additional performances or readings with AMF ensembles and orchestras.
- Daily meetings of composition seminar and coached rehearsals of pieces. Students will meet for private lessons with David Ludwig and AMF faculty.
- Master classes with internationally renown guest composers.
- Seminars on orchestration, film scoring, and other advanced music courses.
