Instrumental Program

An intensive four-week program designed for serious instrumental students. The program engages students through a combination of lessons, master classes, and performances

The program is open students in Piccolo, Flute, Oboe, English Horn, Clarinet, Eb/Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, Contrabassoon, French Horn, Trumpet, Tenor Trombone, Bass Trombone, Tuba, Timpani & Percussion, Harp, Violin, Viola, Cello, Contrabass.

Piano students must apply to Piano Institute and Seminar.

To apply to both your main and auxiliary instruments (i.e. flute & piccolo), submit one application with recordings of both instruments.

Program highlights include:

  • Weekly lessons with AMF Institute faculty
  • Daily seminars and coached rehearsals
  • Master classes with special guest artists
  • Workshops on technique, repertory, practicing, and audition/competition preparation
  • Solo and chamber recital opportunities
  • Opportunity to participate in AMF Orchestra

Those interested should complete the online application and submit recordings of three contrasting works. Single movement work is acceptable. Be sure to label audition recordings with your name, instrument, and audition repertoire
