JUNE 27TH PREVIEW CONCERT PRESENTS WORKS OF RICHARD DANIELPOUR

Waterville, ME, 19 June 2009 — The music of Grammy-winning American composer Richard Danielpour will be featured in “As Night Falls…” a very special Atlantic Music Festival preview concert on Saturday, June 27th at 7 PM. Danielpour’s beautiful 4th and 5th String Quartets, and the lyrical “As Night Falls on Barjeantane”, will be performed by the gifted young musicians of the AMF.

ATLANTIC MUSIC FESTIVAL BRINGS 15 NIGHTS OF CLASSICAL MUSIC THIS SUMMER TO MAINE

New York, NY, 1 June 2009 — The Atlantic Music Festival (AMF) announced its three-week inaugural event that will bring together emerging classical musicians and revered musicians, and composers. The festival, hosted by Colby College in Waterville, Maine, from July 4 through July 24, 2009, will provide fellowships for promising young musicians from all over the world. AMF fellows will work with professionals such as notable American composers Richard Danielpour and George Tsontokis, renowned performers Jaime Laredo, Sharon Robinson, and Benjamin Hochman, and conductors Sarah Hicks and Benjamin Schwartz.

Following the preview concert on June 27, 2009, AMF will officially open its doors with pianist Benjamin Hochman’s performance of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 19, K. 459,
