SUMMER IN MAINE
AMF RESIDENCY GUIDELINES
Housing is provided at the Colby College campus dormitory. Participants are welcome to bring their own vehicles to explore the state of Maine, which is known for its beautiful surroundings, food, and attractions.
The residential facilities consist primarily of double-room accommodations. A finite number of single rooms may be assigned to participants, but are not guaranteed. Other facilities at Colby College include performance and rehearsal spaces, a computer lab with Internet access, TV lounge, laundry facilities, and fitness center.
AMF cannot provide housing in the dormitory or elsewhere for anyone other than AMF participants, including spouses or partners. Housing preparations should be made in advance on behalf of all friends or relatives should they chose to attend the festival. For a list of nearby accommodations, please click here.
Additional Information for Fellowship Recipients
Access to kitchen facilities is available to fellows who wish to prepare their own meals. Fellows may also purchase individual meals or a weekly meal plan at the on-campus dining hall. The cost for meal plan is $180 per week. Fellows are not required to live at Colby College. However, those who elect off-campus are responsible for the entire cost of their own accommodations.
All AMF Fellows must be in attendance for the full duration of the festival, arriving by 5:00 p.m. on July 12, 2009 and departing no later than 10:00 a.m. on August 7, 2009. AMF does not permit late arrivals, early departures, and/or absences. Participants are required to be available for performance every day during the festival season.
