The Program

Overview

The AMF Vocal Institute nurtures gifted singers by providing them with unparalleled experiences to grow as performers and prepare for professional careers in vocal arts.

Designed as a two-week online intensive program in 2021, singers develop core skills, including vocal technique, diction, interpretation, and acting. Students may also apply to participate as understudies and/or production assistants in our two-week in-person production of Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” immediately following the 2021 online program.

Seminars and masterclasses provide students with relevant, up-to-date information and tools for succeeding as 21st-century artists. Each student receives at least three individual lessons and three individual coachings over two weeks. The 2021 online session will culminate in a live, virtual concert of singers with bespoke recorded accompaniments.

Since its inception, AMF has served as a training ground for exceptional young vocalists by providing unprecedented opportunities for performances, including new music premieres. Many of our students have gone on to study at leading conservatories and young artist programs. Our alumni can be found in opera houses, festivals, musical theater productions, and professional choruses worldwide.
