Overview

AMF Conducting Program is a summer course designed for advanced conductors. The program is led by Maestro Kisun Sung.

The program covers a broad range of topics such as conducting technique, analysis, musicianship, and professional development. In addition, conductors have opportunities to collaborate with various festival departments such as Opera Workshop, Composition Program, Contemporary Ensemble, and Resident Artists throughout the festival season.

Orchestra

Conductors gain hands on experience and opportunity to work with our all-fellowship orchestra.

Collaborative Opportunity

Throughout the festival season, conductors collaborate frequently with the AMF Composition Program, Opera Workshop, and Resident Artists.

Access AMF Seminars and Courses

Conductors have access to all AMF core seminars and master classes including our renowned Future Music Lab core seminars.

Audition Requirements

Those interested should complete the online application and upload the following material via our online application site.

  • Submit video recordings of applicant’s conducting of two contrasting works (maximum of 30 minutes).

  • Recommendations are optional.
