Overview

AMF Conducting Program is an intensive four-week course designed for advanced conductors. The program engages conductors through a combination of coaching from eminent conductors and lab orchestra sessions with the festival’s all-fellowship orchestra.

The program is led by Maestros David Amado and Kisun Sung.

Participants attend daily seminars which cover a broad range of topics such as conducting technique, analysis, musicianship, and professional development. In addition, conductors have opportunities to collaborate with various festival departments such as Opera Workshop, Composition Program, Contemporary Ensemble, and Resident Artists throughout the festival season.

To ensure individual attention, approximately six applicants will be invited to participate in the program.
